Abraham is the biblical portrait of salvation by faith – Genesis 15:6 reports, “and he (Abram) believed the Lord and he (God) counted it to him as righteousness. Is it any wonder that people continued to be confused about how to “get” saved. Believing what the Word of God says is the cure for this problem. We again turn our attention to Paul’s commentary on the faith of Abraham.

Confusion about the relationship between works and salvation comes from a misunderstanding about the Gospel of God and the Gospel of Christ. If one does not understand the difference, he or she will certainly not understand many passages in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and some parts of John. The Gospel of God is the core of the message of Jesus Christ.
